CONTROL COMPONENTS
Motor Components & Accessories
At Automation Electric & Controls, we carry a wide selection of motor components and accessories to support repairs, upgrades, and custom motor builds. Whether you’re replacing a worn part or building a specialty motor for logging, food processing, or crushing applications, our inventory is built for durability and performance.
From brushes to brackets, fans, connection boxes and more — we help you keep rotating equipment running smoothly.
What We Supply
Brushes, Springs & Brush Holders
Carbon brushes, springs, and holder assemblies are critical for reliable electrical contact in motors. We stock parts for common AC/DC motors, including replacement brush kits and custom-sized assemblies.
Mounting & Adapter Hardware
Motor bases, brackets, C-face kits, D-flange adapters, and coupling hardware to allow retrofit or new installation in tight or custom spaces.
Cooling & Ventilation Accessories
Motors often need forced ventilation or auxiliary cooling. We offer motor fans, blowers, shrouds, and airflow accessories to maintain safe operating temperatures.
Connection & Enclosure Components
Junction boxes, terminal blocks, conduit kits, gland plates, and sealing accessories designed to ensure wiring integrity and protection against dust, moisture, and contaminants.
Mechanical Parts & Seals
Bearings, seals, shafts, shaft extensions, keyways, and other mechanical parts you need when rebuilding or repairing motor cores or assemblies.
Specialty Accessories
From drip covers and moisture protection kits to vibration dampening accessories or custom inserts — we can help you find or fabricate the right accessory for harsh environments.
How to Use These Components
-
Motor repair & rebuilds — Use brush, bearing, seal, or connection parts to refurbish existing motors rather than replacing them entirely.
-
Field retrofits & upgrades — Add cooling fans, upgraded mounts, or stronger seals to adapt motors to new use cases in rugged environments.
-
Custom motor builds — When specifying motors, we can help you select or source specialty internal or external components to meet your constraints (size, environment, durability).
-
Preventive maintenance stocking — Maintain spares for critical motor parts to minimize downtime in logging, food, or aggregate operations.
Why Choose Our Motor Components
-
Industry-grade quality — We select components suited for the toughest conditions: dust, moisture, vibration, washdowns.
-
Cross referencing expertise — If you have an old part number or legacy motor, we can often find compatible replacements or upgrade options.
-
Fast availability & inventory — Many common components are stocked or available quickly, reducing lead time for repairs.
-
Local support & technical guidance — Our team helps you choose the right part, verify fit, and design proper installation or wiring.
-
Integrated service options — Components are supported by our shop builds, field installations, and remote services — so your project remains coherent end to end.

Contactors
An electric contactor is a large relay for switching electrical loads on and off in motors and other high power loads. Many varieties of contactors are available depending on specific applications.

Breakers
Molded case circuit breakers interrupt current flows in the event of a fault to protect devices from electrical damage. They have higher interrupting ratings than miniature circuit breakers to serve high power industrial and commercial applications.

Relays/Timers
Relays are used when a machine or engine must control a circuit using a lower power signal, or when several circuits must be controlled using one uniform signal to keep electrical equipment running smoothly.
Timers are used in numerous electronic devices to control a wide variety of resistive and inductive loads. There are a variety of relays and timers available depending upon application.

Enclosures
We offer NEMA rated electrical enclosures of various dimensions and styles. Choices range from powder coated mild steel or stainless steel to non-metallic fiberglass reinforced polyester or polycarbonate construction. These enclosures are ideal for protecting electrical components and wiring against various hazards.

Push Buttons
Operator Interfaces, push buttons and pilot lights provide machinery control and status indication. Variety of push buttons, switches, and specialty operators are used for individuals to operate and regulate control stations and equipment.
